Dr. Dameion Royal & Minister Melessha Royal
Dr. Dameion Royal, Pastor
Pastor Dameion L. Royal is a native of New Bern, North Carolina. He began his official preaching ministry as a teenager under the leadership of the late Dr. Andrew Mckinley Cogdell. Being ordained by the Goldsboro Raleigh District Assembly in 1994, Elder Royal has spent the last twenty-eight years traveling near and far declaring the Word of Jesus Christ.

In 1998, Pastor Royal graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C. with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders. Since that time, he has earned a Master of Theological Studies, Master of Religious Education, and the Master of Divinity Equivalency from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. On May 19, 2018, he also earned a Doctorate of Ministry Degree in Leadership and Management from Liberty University.

In 2015, Dr. Royal was elected to become senior pastor of Philippi Church of Christ succeeding the late Bishop Randy B. Royal. He has a heart to obey God and serve His people, and he believes that God has given him a divine mandate to advance the Kingdom through preaching, teaching, training and demonstration of Christ’s Word. He firmly believes that as he continues to live before the Lord in obedience, that God will use him to touch lives in increasingly greater ways.

Dr. Royal is married to Lady Melessha Royal and they are the proud parents of three children: Dameion Jr., Isaiah and Sarah. He thanks God for his family and many friends who have helped shape his life and ministry. Indeed, he is humbled by the awesome grace that has been extended to him.
Lady Melessha Royal, Minister​
Lady Melessha Royal is a minister of the Gospel and the co-founder of Contending for the Faith Church Ministries. In the ministry, she currently serves as the Women's Ministry leader and Music Director. She also serves as a teacher, workshop facilitator and conference speaker.

Lady Royal is a graduate of North Carolina State University (NCSU) with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Nutrition. She has also received certifications as a personal fitness trainer, aerobics instructor, and health and nutrition consultant.
​
In the spirit of excellence, Lady Royal strives to please God in all of her ways by being the wife, mother, and minister that God has called her to be. She is determined to see lives transformed by the power of God as she walks in her divine purpose.
